Cortina is situated more or less to the centre of the Ampezzana valley, encircles nearly completely by the high Dolomites. Geographically it is included in the Belluno province and it is 72 km from the town of Belluno. It is located between Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige regions.

Cortina is a convenient location as well being two hours from Venice and a short drive from the Austrian and Slovenian borders. As well as a traditional Italian atmosphere, the town offers a selection of superb restaurants and a pedestrianised centre perfect for enjoying the local charm and hospitality.

Visitors will have access to four nearby ski areas. These regions cover varied terrain for skiers of all abilities. This includes tree-lined couloirs and winding, rolling pistes. In all, there are more than 120 km of routes to explore.
